Nigo needs no introduction, but the latest project involving the Bathing Ape founder and all-around streetwear maven is not exactly what most people might expect from this fashion legend. 

Fashion in post-World War II Japan was heavily influenced by the classic styling of mid-century Americana.  The utilitarian look of workwear and GIs, the burgeoning cool of blue jeans, and the ruggedly wholesome aura of college campus preps found a welcoming audience in Japan.
